To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Don Shay from Peoria, a 4 decade Harley rider. In 2004 I bought a new Screamin Eagle Duece with 95CI. The spring of 2007 I had Gary Cave with PHD “Bikers Peformance Head Development” perform the magic on the heads. I have long known that real horsepower and foot pound of torque to the drive wheel is developed in the heads. PHD ported and relieved, polished, milled and installed the special brass valve guides, then balanced the flows scientifically on the flow bench. This took my horsepower on the dyno up to 106 with 104 ft. lbs. of torque. PHD knew it was good to keep the combustion ratio below 10 to 1 which was done. 9.88 to 1 is what mine is. Now I have an enormous amount of full range power unlike anything before. Increase of 25% PHD was professional and has all that expensive equipment to do it right. A well satisfied customer.

A note of thanks to Gary Cave of BikersPHD, “Performance Head Development.” My name is Dale Kykendall of Washington, IL. I have been a motorcycle enthusiast for 5 decades and have built 35 motorcycle restorations, modifications, built the way I wanted them, to maximize the way they run. BikersPHD has always been willing to listen and has been instrumental in seeing my projects to fruition and done correctly. I joined AHRMA, a nationwide racing group interested in keeping vintage motorcycle racing, road racing, motor cross, trials and dirt biking alive. After 6 years of racing I have won 3 National Championships in the premier 500 class and 4 National Championships in trials 500cc on my highly modified infield and also won 2 Cross Country Championships on my Harley 1994 Sprint. All this equipment came through BikersPHD shop. Not once has any of this equipment failed due to mechanical failure due to Gary Cave of PHD. Gary has also modified my 2005 Road King; it outperforms my buddies and damn that’s fun. Thank you Gary Cave and BikersPHD for vision and scientific approach on all these motors, you’re the best ever.

I have owned a number of bikes ranging from mild to wild. I can’t say enough about the performance I am now getting out of my bagger. In the spring of 2005, I purchased a 2000 Road King. The bike was completely stock and lacked anything resembling performance. When it comes to performance work on a Harley, Gary came highly recommended. After meeting with Gary, he understood what I was trying to achieve and he recommended the following: Bore to 95” ci Ported Heads Gear Driven Cams JE Pistons 53mm Throttle Body Power Commander Bassani True Duals with D & D baffles and a Big Sucker Air Cleaner.
After break-in, we did the final tuning on a dyno, and the bike produced 113 hp. To say the least, I was pleased. This isn’t even the same bike. I have no problem taking care of Harley’s 110 SE.
We have since added a Zipper’s ThunderMax Magnetti Marelli conversion kit. An absolute must for a 2001 and older fuel injected Harley. I am looking forward to getting my bike back on the dyno, just to see how the numbers look.
